Block Island Ferry is the only year-round ferry service to Block Island. Based in Point Judith, (Narragansett), Rhode Island, the Block island Ferry offers Traditional ferry service, (55 minute voyage) as well as the fastest ferry trip from the mainland on the High speed ferry service, (30 minute cruise).
Dunes Park is a great stretch of beach located right at the Weekapaug Breachway and is geared toward families. There are restrooms, bath houses, showers, and a concession stand available to customers of Dunes Park. With a very friendly parking lot staff as well as 2 lifeguards on duty each day, Dunes Park is a perfect place to visit.
Napatree is a community resource and is open to the public year-round. Napatree Point extends 1.3 miles west into Little Narragansett Bay from Watch Hill, Westerly, RI and has been formally designated a “Globally Important Bird Area” by the National Audubon Society and a Climate Response Demonstration Site by the University of Rhode Island Coastal Institute. It is home to many species of federally and state-listed endangered species, including Piping Plovers, Least Terns, Osprey, and American Oystercatchers.
